Asin Thottumkal was born in Kochi, India on 26th October 1979. Her father Joseph Thottumkal and mother is Seline Thottumkal. Her father is looking after her and mother is a surgeon by profession. She did her schooling at Naval Public School and St theresa's Higher Secondary School. She completed her degree in English Literature from St Theresa's College. She also appeared in many commercials like Colgate Toothpaste, Fairever Face Cream. Asin debuted her first film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in the year 2001. Her Telugu movie Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammay in the year 2003 won her the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award.............................................................................................................................................................................
